Job summary

Fastenal, Hayden, ID, seeks a part-time Customer Supply Chain Administrator to support customer service, data analysis and operations within the supply chain. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, manufacturers and customers to understand prints and manage RFQs, while maintaining strong inventory control.

The role offers a flexible schedule after onboarding, with up to 28 hours per week and shifts 7:00am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday, from Hayden or nearby branches in ID/MT/NV/WA/OR.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or related field OR equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Customer service oriented environment experience.
• Strong organization and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrate Fastenal core values: ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Pass required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam only).

Responsibilities

• Participating in the implementation of new business processes.
• Sourcing, quoting and purchasing new and existing products.
• Working closely with Fastenal Sales Teams, Product Development Teams, Manufacturers and Customers.
• Responding and coordinating resources relative to customer requests.
• Performing inventory fulfillment such as placing and fulfilling orders.
• Monetizing and reporting value of supply chain management activities to customer and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting and participating in continuous improvement activities.
• Supporting inventory optimization projects.
