Job summary

Mom’s Meals in Des Moines, IA is seeking upbeat, people-first Part-time Customer Service Representatives to be the friendly voice customers hear when placing orders. This onsite role includes a two-week full-time training period.

Starting wage is $17.00/hour. Shifts are Monday–Friday, 10:30am–2:30pm or 1:30pm–5:30pm (20–29 hours/week). Training runs 9:00am–6:00pm, Monday–Friday for two weeks. Perks include free breakfast & lunch, casual dress, weekly pay, and a 401k.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with work/school software.
• Clear oral communication skills.
• Ability to deescalate and resolve customer complaints.
• 1 year of call center experience preferred.
• Experience with CRM, Outlook/Teams.
• HIPAA knowledge or experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls for meal orders.
• Address questions and provide exceptional customer service.
• Input order information into client systems.
• Document conversations in the client database.
• Ensure clients are contacted and have an order on file.
• Communicate with case managers via phone/email/fax for special situations.

Mom’s Meals, the leading national provider of refrigerated home-delivered meals in the healthcare market, is looking for upbeat, people-first individuals to join our team as Part-time Customer Service Representatives. The starting wage is $17.00/hour.

Standard work hours are Monday-Friday, 10:30am-2:30pm OR 1:30pm-5:30pm (20-29 hours/week).

This position requires 2 weeks of full-time onsite training, Monday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm.

This is an onsite position at 7000 Fleur Drive, Des Moines IA 50321 and will start on Monday, November 9th.

Offer of employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check, where permitted by law.

• Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls with our clients placing their meal order
• Address questions, and provide exceptional customer service
• Input order information into the appropriate client order screen
• Document all conversations with client into client information database
• Ensure all assigned clients are contacted and have an order on file
• Contact case managers via telephone, email, and/or fax when a special situation arises regarding one of their clients
• Work quickly and efficiently without making the client feel rushed
• High school degree or GED
• 1 year of previous customer service experience
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience learning and using software in a work or school setting
• Clear oral communication skills
• Ability to deescalate situations and quickly resolve customer complaints
• Prior experience adhering to company policies and showing core values
• 1 year of previous call center experience
• Previous experience with auto dialer, multi-line phone system, and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams
• Previous experience working with HIPAA policies and procedures
• Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
• Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
