Job summary

Dollar Tree in Phelan, California is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and inviting.

This role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service experience. You must be able to lift 30–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and general presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
