Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Two years of library experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of library systems and databases preferred
• Excellent customer service skills; comfort with technology
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

Responsabilités

• Provides excellent customer service.
• Assists patrons with all Library transactions including cash handling, checking in/out items, processing transfers, issuing library cards, collecting fees, promoting reading and learning.
• Provides instruction in the use of the Library and its services and resources; connects patrons to services and resources through personal assistance.
• Supports Library programs and events via promotional, marketing and outreach efforts in and out of the Library.
• Shelves materials and maintains a tidy and orderly collection.
• Addresses or escalates patron conduct or safety issues to appropriate management.
• Follows privacy and custodianship of patron records.
• Other duties as assigned.
