Job summary

Smart & Final is hiring a Part-Time Associate for our Newbury Park store located at 2100 Newbury Road, Newbury Park, CA 91320. The role focuses on customer service, stocking, cash register operations, and maintaining store sections with attention to pricing and product freshness.

The position involves lifting up to 60 pounds, basic PC/Outlook skills, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service to customers. This is a part-time opportunity within the Smart & Final operations team.

Qualifications

• Read and write English; communicate with the public and coworkers.
• Read and understand simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings to customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store sections; stock merchandise and verify pricing and rotation.
• Operate a cash register; handle transactions and refunds as approved by management.
• Assist customers to vehicles when needed and provide current store/product information.
• Perform basic bookkeeping: record lost/damaged goods and store supplies.
