Job summary

Smart & Final is seeking a Part-Time Associate at the 724 Sacramento location. The role involves customer service, stock management, and operating a cash register in a fast-paced grocery warehouse environment.

The position requires strong English communication, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and a willingness to assist customers and co-workers throughout shifts. Starting wage is $16.90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Explain product information clearly to customers and colleagues.
• Lift up to 25 lb routinely, up to 45 lb frequently, and up to 60 lb occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned store section, receive stock, stock merchandise and ensure proper pricing.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of interior/exterior areas and parking lot as directed.
• Operate a cash register and handle payments, refunds, and card transactions.
• Assist customers by answering questions and helping load purchases into vehicles when needed.
• Record lost/damaged goods and store supplies as part of basic bookkeeping.
