Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Michigan LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, processing transactions at the cash register, stocking shelves, unloading merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and keeping areas neat and presentable. This role emphasizes reliability, strong communication, and professional customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle walking, standing, bending and lifting tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
