Job summary

The Michaels Companies in San Rafael, CA is seeking a part-time Store Associate to assist customers with framing solutions, operate the cash register, and keep the store clean and well merchandised. You will deliver friendly service, follow SOPs, stock shelves, unload trucks, and support omni-channel processes.

This role requires basic computer and measuring skills, and willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills are required.
• Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutter.
• Retail experience is preferred.
• Experience selling products or services to customers.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships while creating Custom Framing solutions and delivering sales and production results.
• Complete framing orders with a high degree of quality and on time.
• Maintain the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas including SISO and Direct Replenishment.
• Deliver friendly customer service; help customers shop and find what they are looking for; keep the store well merchandised and in stock.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs; support shrink and safety programs.
• Interact with others in a respectful manner and be a role model for the team.
• Assist with truck unload and stocking processes; ensure truck standards are followed within budget.
• Operate cash register and perform cash handling to standards.
• Acknowledge customers, help locate product and provide solutions; assist with Omni-channel processes.
