Job summary

YMCA of Dane County is hiring a part-time Custodian to keep our facilities clean and safe for members and program participants. The shift is up to 15–20 hours per week, in early mornings or evenings, with some exterior grounds maintenance.

A Free YMCA Membership is included with employment. Responsibilities include dry and wet mopping, restroom and locker room cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal and snow/ice clearance as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of restroom sanitation procedures.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and floor/carpet care machinery.
• Weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Mops floors (dry and wet).
• Cleans restrooms, locker rooms, classrooms, and shower areas.
• Dusts, vacuums, removes trash and cleans around equipment.
• Clears snow and ice from walkways and driveways as needed.
