Job summary

The YMCA of Dane County in Madison, WI is seeking a part-time custodian to keep the building and exterior grounds clean and safe for members and program participants.

This evening and weekend position involves daily cleaning tasks, basic restroom sanitation, floor care, snow removal as needed, and following verbal and written instructions. Join a community-focused team at the YMCA.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning and safety procedures, including restroom sanitation procedures
• Knowledge of safe operation of standard and/or electrical floor or carpet care, custodial equipment, lawn care equipment and ladders
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning duties that include: dry mops and wet mops floors

• Dusts, vacuums, remove trash and clean around equipment
• Clears snow and ice from walkways, driveways and other areas as needed

  • Cleans restrooms, locker rooms, and shower areas
  • Dusts, vacuums, remove trash and clean around equipment
  • Clears snow and ice from walkways, driveways and other areas as needed
