Job summary

YMCA of Dane County is seeking a part-time cleaner to maintain the building and exterior areas, ensuring a safe and clean environment for members and program participants.

The role involves early mornings and evenings with up to 20 hours per week, including weekend coverage. Training on safety procedures is provided, and the YMCA offers a friendly team environment and the opportunity to contribute to community well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning and safety procedures, including restroom sanitation procedures.
• Knowledge of safe operation of custodial, lawn and custodial equipment and ladders.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning duties including dry mops and wet mops floors.
• Cleans restrooms, locker rooms, classrooms, and shower areas.
• Dusts, vacuums, removes trash and cleans around equipment.
• Clears snow and ice from walkways, driveways and other areas as needed.

• Performs daily cleaning duties that include:
  • Dry mops and wet mops floors
  • Cleans restrooms, locker rooms, classrooms, and shower areas
  • Dusts, vacuums, remove trash and clean around equipment
  • Clears snow and ice from walkways, driveways and other areas as needed
