Job summary

City of Dover is seeking an individual to perform routine cleaning and general maintenance in and around the Inspection Services building. This is a part-time, 8 hour per week position.

The role offers an hourly wage between $17.55 and $25.39, with the position open until filled. Duties include cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance tasks, with emphasis on safety and proper record-keeping. Work is performed in the Inspection Services area and surrounding facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid motor vehicle operator license.
• Ability to perform custodial and basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of floors and carpets by sweeping, vacuuming, washing and waxing floors as directed.
• Empties trash receptacles and transfers to disposal location.
• Maintains clean and sanitary restrooms and supplies.
• Dusts and washes desks, tables, countertops, walls and glass in offices and public areas.
• Performs minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing repairs and painting as needed.
