Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with one year related work experience.
• Able to understand and follow the job description, cleaning instructions and MSDS.
• Basic communication skills to facilitate good communications with visitors and staff.
• Requires valid IL driver’s license and must pass The Salvation Army MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties: dust, wash windows, clean restrooms, empty trash, vacuum and wax floors.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of furnaces and other minor maintenance tasks.
• Maintain Corps grounds: yard work, trash removal, snow removal, lawn mowing.
• Assist with repairs and note major repairs needed.
• Manage cleaning supplies inventory and custodial equipment.
