Job summary

The YMCA of Monroe County is seeking a part-time custodian to maintain cleanliness across Monroe County facilities. Shift is 9am–2pm, Monday through Friday, with duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash pickup, and surface cleaning.

Regular communication with the senior property director on progress and needs is expected. Responsibilities include cleaning women’s restrooms and locker rooms during operating hours, using protective equipment, and keeping tools and spaces organized.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and follow chemical advisory labels.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned rooms and furnishings to a high standard (e.g., vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash pickup, wiping surfaces).
• Wear protective equipment as required.
• Work independently on small and large projects and manage time/resources.
• Attend mandatory department meetings.
