Job summary

Canopy USA is seeking a part-time Cultivation Technician for Saturday and Sunday shifts from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, plus one flexible weekday. The role reports to the Cultivation Manager and offers learning opportunities and increasing responsibilities over time.

This entry-level position focuses on plant care, sanitation, and inventory processes while supporting the cultivation team. Ideal for hands-on learners with a basic horticulture background and a drive to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with opportunities to learn and grow.
• 1+ year experience in horticulture or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and basic office software.
• Strong math skills for inventory and projections.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for medicinal plants from seed/clone to harvest.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the cultivation area.
• Implement feeding and care schedules as directed by Cultivation Manager.
• Prune crops consistently and discreetly.
• Repot crops accurately and uniformly.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and report findings.
• Propagate crops to meet inventory requirements.
• Keep logs of reservoirs, equipment, and crop-related data.
• Scan inventory into designated locations.
• Use and maintain tools and equipment properly.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks and dispose of waste properly.
• Assist in completing secondary cultivation tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe cultivation environment.
• Perform other duties as needed.
