About the Role
Position: Part‑time Cultivation Technician (Saturday and Sunday 7:00 am–3:30 pm, and one flexible weekday 7:00 am–3:30 pm). Reports to the Cultivation Manager. This entry‑level role offers the opportunity to learn and grow within the company and to take on increasing responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for medicinal plants from seed/clone to harvest, monitoring environmental factors to maximize production and prevent failures.
- Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation inside the cultivation area.
- Implement feeding and care schedules as directed by the Cultivation Manager.
- Prune crops consistently and discreetly.
- Repot crops accurately and uniformly.
- Conduct routine visual inspections of plants to identify pests or deficiencies and report findings to the Cultivation Lead.
- Propagate crops to meet inventory requirements as determined by the Cultivation Lead.
- Keep accurate records of reservoirs, equipment, and other crop‑related logs assigned by the Cultivation Lead.
- Scan inventory into designated locations.
- Use, maintain, and store all tools and equipment properly, including shop vacuums, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, loppers, stools, gloves, rag, goggles, and related items.
- Complete daily and periodic cleaning tasks, such as sweeping and spot mopping all cultivation floor and loading area spaces.
- Properly dispose of waste at the end of each day.
- Assist in completing secondary cultivation tasks as directed by the Cultivation Lead.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment inside the cultivation area.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in horticulture, agriculture, biology, chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in horticulture, botany, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer and office equipment operations (inventory systems, Word, Excel, copier, telephone).
- Strong math skills for inventory, projections, and time‑management.
- Ability to plan and prioritize effectively, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a team.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining product integrity.
- Light to moderate lifting up to 50 lbs; heavier weights with assistance.
- Stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Repeat motions and familiarity with laboratory equipment.
- Wear company‑provided lab coats, hair/beard nets, gloves, surgical masks, safety glasses/goggles, and splash shields while working in the lab.
- Adhere to facility general hygiene requirements.
- Stay focused on tasks at hand.
