Job summary

Saginaw Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a part-time dining service helper to capture meal orders from residents and guests, explain daily specials and the Always Available Menu, and ensure a pleasant dining experience. You will work with the nutrition team to reflect resident preferences in the menu and support smooth service.

This role emphasizes good interpersonal skills, knowledge of food service regulations, and commitment to excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or Equivalent.
• ServSafe and Allergen Trained.
• Starbucks Barista trained is preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable of food service laws, regulations and guidelines governing.
• Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative Care!

Responsibilities

• Greet guests to the building, explain our menu and ordering process for daily specials and the Always Available Menu.
• Meet and talk with guests daily and take meal orders.
• Collaborate with the RDN or Exec Chef on input in the Nutrition Management program.
• Print meal production sheets for each meal and meal tickets.
• Update the daily menu for the dining rooms.
• Assist with serving meals that are palatable and appetizing and ensure proper portions and sanitary procedures.
