Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a part-time server to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our senior residents, taking orders, serving meals, and ensuring dietary needs are met.

You will maintain a welcoming dining environment, assist with table setup, and collaborate with the Culinary Director and kitchen staff. A high school diploma is preferred, and prior serving experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card is a plus.
• 6–12 months in serving/hospitality is a plus.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a positive dining atmosphere.
• Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and preferences, including portion sizes and special requests.
• Serve meals with a smile and ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Set tables with linens, utensils, and glassware before each meal.
• Clear tables after meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Reset tables for the next meal service.
• Relay resident feedback to Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and Cogir standards.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and Cogir senior living policies.
