Job summary

Avamere Health Services of Rogue Valley is seeking a part-time Culinary Aide to support meal preparation and service for residents, following individual dietary needs and safety standards. Under the Culinary Services Manager, you will help with food prep, tray assembly, sanitation, and daily kitchen tasks, ensuring timely, attractive meals and adherence to regulations in a long-term care setting.

Applicants should be detail-oriented, committed to cleanliness, and able to work as part of a team

Qualifications

• Attention to detail when setting up trays, using portion control, and sanitizing dishes and equipment.
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Requires CPR/BLS certification and maintaining it during employment.
• Requires a current Food Handlers card issued by the local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related regulations in long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and safety standards.
• Serve trays at proper time, temperature, and attractive presentation.
• Inspect tray accuracy before serving.
• Fill orders for between-meal nourishments as assigned.
• Assist with daily cleaning, equipment, dishware, and floors.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and infection control policies and regulations.
