Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Tacoma, WA is hiring a Dietary/Culinary Aide for Avamere Puget Sound. This full-time role (Mon-Thu, 6:00AM–1:30PM) involves preparing and serving meals, ensuring dietary needs are met, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness under supervision of Culinary Services Manager.

The position requires attention to detail, knowledge of sanitation, ability to operate kitchen equipment, CPR/BLS certification, and a Food Handler card.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in tray setup, portion control and sanitizing dishes.
• Knowledge of food service sanitation and safety standards.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and hair restraints.
• Able to interact with staff across departments.
• Learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• Maintain CPR/BLS certification during employment.
• Current Food Handler card issued by Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals according to dietary needs and safety standards.
• Serves trays at proper time and temperature; assists with prep as needed.
• Checks tray accuracy and places on cart.
• Fills nourishment orders between meals.
• Assists with cleaning duties of work areas, equipment, dishware and floors.
• Follows facility and state/federal safety and infection control policies.
• Attends orientation, training, and in-service education activities.
• Assists with inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies.
