Job summary

SARC Maryland is seeking a part-time Mental Health Coach (Licensed Counselor) in Bel Air, Maryland. The role focuses on crisis mental health, psycho-education, and flexible service delivery including in-person, virtual, or phone sessions.

Qualifications include a Master’s in Psychology or Social Work, Maryland licensure (LCSW-C or LMSW preferred), and 1–3 years of experience. Schedule is determined with the Safehouse Supervisor, with quarterly adjustments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Must be licensed in Maryland; LMSW/LCSW preferred (or equivalent).
• Ability to work under time constraints and uphold ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Counsels individuals and groups regarding psychological or emotional concerns.
• Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans.
• Plans and administers therapeutic interventions to aid emotional regulation.
• Adapts therapy methods based on client response.
• Provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and safety planning.
• Conducts biopsychosocial assessments with clients.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled helpline and chat support as needed.
• Completes treatment plans with client input and revises quarterly.
• Consults with Chief of Programs on cases and amends plans as directed.
• Refers clients to supportive services to supplement treatment.
• Maintains up-to-date client records in Apricot database and reports statistics.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Chief of Programs.
