Job summary

Parallon, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Credentialing Specialist II for a part-time role in the credentialing center. You will safeguard patient well-being by ensuring verified credentials across facilities and manage communication with internal and external stakeholders.

You will navigate regulatory guidelines, document findings, and support audits while maintaining meticulous credentialing records and timely follow-up with practitioners.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in healthcare credentialing with Parallon or HCA.
• Experience with Credentialing Accreditation by Joint Commission or National Committee for Quality Assurance, preferred.
• Detailed working knowledge of the health care and credentialing industry, including medical-legal issues and laws, regulatory agencies, and other national standards preferred
• NAMSS Certification preferred.
• Remote employees are required to live within 60 miles of an HCA hospital
• Remote employees are required to have wired internet with 25 Mbps down and 15 Mbps up.

Responsibilities

• Master regulatory guidelines and internal systems with focus on 350+ internal customers and external customers.
• Forge collaborative partnerships with 350+ healthcare facilities, customers, and stakeholders.
• Review Data Integrity, Specialist, and Compliance Reviews to identify practitioner risk and ensure accurate credentialing.
• Adhere to Joint Commission standards, Facility Bylaws, and CPC standards.
• Ensure timely, accurate credentialing of medical and allied healthcare providers.
• Document resolution and escalations in practitioner files for future reference.
• Collect information and manage follow-up for missing documentation through effective communication.
• Identify compliance flags and collaborate with practitioners on sensitive issues with external organizations.
• Provide strategic counsel to managers and directors regarding ambiguous information.
