William & Mary is recruiting a pool of qualified individuals for possible part-time adjunct teaching appointments in Creative Writing.

This pool remains open to address current and future instructional needs; adjuncts are expected to teach assigned courses, prepare materials, deliver instruction, and hold office hours. Remote teaching is rare and in-person presence is required during appointment periods.

Qualifications

• MFA in Creative Writing or an equivalent field, or related experience.
• PhD or terminal degree, or ABD status, at time of appointment.
• Previous academic teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
• Prepare syllabi and course materials.
• Deliver instruction and assess student learning.
• Hold office hours.
• Fulfill other instructional duties as needed.
