Job summary

The Department of Art & Art History at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is recruiting a pool of qualified individuals for possible part-time adjunct teaching appointments. For the current academic year, the Department of Studio Art anticipates instructional needs in foundational drawing and painting courses.

Adjunct faculty may be responsible forTeaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, preparing syllabi, delivering instruction, holding office hours, and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Studio Art (2D Drawing or Painting) or equivalent experience.
• Part-time adjunct role, in-person presence required and not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses as needed.
• Prepare syllabi and course materials.
• Deliver instruction and assess student learning.
• Hold office hours.
• Fulfill other instructional duties as required by the department.
