Job summary

Jurupa Hills Post Acute is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Riverside, CA to support the rehabilitation team. You will work with the Occupational Therapist and team to help residents regain independence and improve daily living skills in a post-acute setting.

Responsibilities include carrying out treatment plans, documenting progress, and assisting with discharge planning. A California COTA license, graduation from an OTA program, and strong communication are required

Qualifications

• Current California COTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• CPR certification preferred.
• SNF/post-acute rehab experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve residents' daily living skills, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
• Accurately document treatment sessions, resident progress, and outcomes.
• Communicate resident status and treatment updates with the therapy team and interdisciplinary staff.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education as directed.
