Job summary

Vineyard Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team in Petaluma, CA. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay of $50–$55 per hour, with a supportive leadership and collaborative therapy team to help you deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of California
• Strong documentation and computer skills (Casamba, PointClickCare preferred)
• Meets all continuing education requirements and maintains license in good standing

Responsibilities

• Provide treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Document daily treatment notes, progress notes, and recertification documentation per state and OT Board requirements
• Follow the physician treatment plan and facility protocols
• Assist with training Restorative Aides as needed
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to the supervising OT and care team
• Participate in in-service training and interdisciplinary meetings
• Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver strategies
• Support discharge planning
• Help maintain a clean and organized therapy space
• Report equipment issues to ensure safe, proper functioning
• Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, and staff
