Job summary

Eden East is seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing facilities on the East Coast. The position supports resident care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and focuses on rehabilitation, patient education, and family coaching.

Ideal candidates hold an active PA COTA license, a credential from an accredited COTA program, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania COTA license in good standing.
• An accredited COTA program degree.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient‑care skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing, home health, or rehabilitation settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate resident progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct the resident's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Instructs families and staff in maintenance programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Communicates with supervisor and other interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
