Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is seeking a Part-Time Corrections Security Officer – Entry Screener. You will provide security services in a government corrections setting, with a flexible schedule and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

The role requires a valid driver's license, being 21+, a high school diploma, and the ability to complete background checks and a drug screen. You will patrol, monitor access, and maintain logs while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a correctional environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorization as directed, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with onsite personnel and emergency response partners while following instructions, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
