Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, is seeking a Corrections Security Officer – Full Time in Columbia, SC. You will serve clients in government corrections locations, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional, service-oriented approach.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the premises and perimeter areas to identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas and verify authorization per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate site personnel and emergency services as required by post orders.
• Prepare accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation and communicate observations to leadership.
