Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Corrections Facility Security Officer – Part Time in Columbia, SC. You will monitor and protect government locations, deter incidents with a visible presence, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors.

This unarmed security position requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of location (where driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and access points to identify concerns.
• Monitor access and verify credentials, documenting activity as required.
• Complete activity logs and incident reports and inform Allied Universal leadership.
