Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Business Management or related field from a regionally accredited college / university.
  • 3 years of non-teaching (industry) work experience in the field.
  • Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Communication from a regionally accredited college / university.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and Blackboard experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach freshmen and sophomore level courses to college students in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).
  • Attend a 7-hour in-person Pre-Service TDCJ security training, located in Huntsville, TX.
  • Submit annual In-Service Training via online.
  • Instructs and supervise a diverse population of students in the classroom at various times and locations.
  • Possesses a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence.
  • Adheres to Alvin College’s policies and procedures.
