Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Daytona Beach is seeking a compassionate Cook to join our Five Star Rated facility. The role focuses on preparing tasty, nutritious meals that meet diet orders and facility standards, in a clean and timely manner.

Previous kitchen experience in large-scale operations preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with ability to read and write required. We offer benefits and opportunities aligned with our mission to care for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and write required.
• One to two years cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, oven, steam table and tilt skillet.
• Wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits for preparation.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation during all food preparation and service.
• Assist with special function meals and complete work assignments.
