Le Pain Quotidien in Washington, DC is seeking a part-time Cook to join the kitchen team. You will prep and execute all menu items for dine-in and to-go, maintaining clean work areas and following safety and quality standards.

The role supports the Kitchen Manager with inventory and prep, and requires basic knife skills and a flexible schedule. LPQ emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and delivering consistent quality to guests.

Competenze

• 1–3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Knife-handling experience is a plus.
• Flexible schedule preferred but not required.
• Cross-training in all kitchen areas is desirable.
• Ability to speak/read/understand the work location's language.

Mansioni

• Prep and execute all menu items per LPQ standards for dine-in and to-go.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized; assist with dishwashing and equipment cleaning.
• Support Kitchen Manager with par levels and prep sheets.
• Conduct line checks for quality control.
• Follow opening, mid, and closing procedures and cleaning checklists.
