Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Washington, DC is hiring for Kitchen Manager, Cooks, and Servers. Open houses are scheduled with on‑the‑spot interviewing. Roles involve preparing menu items for dine-in and to-go, maintaining clean kitchen areas, and adhering to LPQ standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months of related restaurant experience or training
• Previous knife-handling experience a plus
• Flexible schedule is highly preferred but not required
• Ability to be cross-trained in all kitchen areas
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language of the work location

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute menu items for dine-in and to-go per LPQ standards
• Keep all kitchen areas clean and organized; assist with dishes and equipment
• Assist Kitchen Manager with par levels and prep sheets
• Conduct line checks for quality control
• Follow opening, mid, and closing procedures and food safety checklists
