Job summary

Alliance Health at Braintree, a not-for-profit skilled nursing facility, is seeking a part-time cook to join our caring team. Work every other weekend from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm in our busy kitchen, helping prepare and serve meals to residents.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is able to lift 50 pounds, and can follow dietary standards. Experience in healthcare is preferred but we’ll train the right person, with Serve Safe certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 1 year of healthcare cook experience; will train the right candidate.
• Effective communication with Residents and staff.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Serve Safe Certification preferred.
• Must be COVID-19 fully vaccinated and boosted.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and ensure food is received, stored, and prepared according to dietary standards.
• Maintain kitchen, food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition always.
• Responsible for opening or closing the kitchen.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and regulatory food safety standards and practices.
• Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration, and freezer.
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events and theme meals.
• Assists in supervision of dietary staff.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
