Job summary

HallKeen Assisted Living Communities in Boston, MA seeks a full-time cook for 2pm–7pm or 6am–2pm shifts, including weekends, to prepare and present meals to residents according to our standards and recipes.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, 1–3 years cooking experience in hospitality/healthcare, Serve Safe certification, and medical/TB health clearance; duties include maintaining a clean kitchen, following safety protocols, and supporting events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years cooking experience in hospitality or healthcare.
• Serve Safe Certification required.
• Background check and TB medical certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Work with the food service director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitary condition at all times.
• Open and/or close the kitchen.
• Follow cleaning schedules as assigned and adhere to food safety practices.
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
