The successful candidate will cook large quantities, maintain clean work areas, and comply with sanitation policies. Reading, writing, and speaking English are required, along with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Possess the ability to work independently and make good decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.

Responsibilities

• Practice kitchen safety always when using knives and all equipment.
• Cook large quantities and a variety of food.
• Work in the Grill Room, Main Kitchen, and Health Center Kitchen.
• Maintain care of supplies, equipment, and cleanliness; follow sanitation requirements.
• Report any breakdown of standards to the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
• Participate in in-services, continuing education, staff meetings as set forth by the Executive Chef.
• Understand technical knowledge to work in multiple kitchen areas.
• Familiar with vendors and par levels of menu items.
