Job summary

The Phoenix @ Union Hill is seeking Cooks to join their team. The Cook reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director. This part-time position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week and focuses on quality food preparation and service.

The role emphasizes sanitary handling, adherence to menus, and the ability to manage food production in the absence of leadership. SERV Safe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets.
• Maintains a current SERV Safe certificate or able to participate in training to become SERV Safe certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and maintain sanitation in food service areas.
• Adhere to posted menus and prepare items using Phoenix recipes and production sheets.
• Prepare all special dietary needs and texture modified foods as directed.
• Monitor temperatures, taste and quality to meet standards at all times.
• Operate dish machines and maintain cleanliness; follow safety regulations.

Education
