Job summary

The Phoenix at Milton is seeking a part-time Cook to join the team. The Cook will handle all aspects of food preparation to meet quality, quantity, and service standards for the community.

Responsibilities include following approved recipes, maintaining sanitary conditions, handling temperatures, and assisting with records and regulatory compliance as needed. Prior experience and a current SERV Safe certification are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One year job related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Maintains a current SERV Safe certificate or able to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals while following approved recipes and menus.
• Adhere to production sheets and instructions; ensure food items meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain sanitation and hygiene in all food service areas; follow all safety policies.
• Manage food temperatures, taste adjustments, and portion control to meet service requirements.
• Operate dish machine and sanitation equipment per Food Safety Standards.
• Record temperatures and other regulatory data for quality assurance.
