Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a part-time Cook for The Commons at Lincoln. You will prepare nutritious meals, follow dietary procedures, and maintain high standards under the supervision of the Executive Chef.

The role supports both Independent Living and Health Center residents, with a schedule of 20–30 hours weekly, including one weekend day. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, culinary training preferred, and at least 2 years in dietary roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Culinary Arts training preferred.
• 2 years of dietary experience; knowledge of dietary procedures and related laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assures all dietary procedures are followed.
• Operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively (meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, dumb waiter, warmer cabinets).
• Assist in establishing food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Represent the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals with high-quality presentation and flavor.
