Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking a Cook for Salt & Ivy at the Aria in Las Vegas to apply culinary techniques and create WOW guest experiences with a welcoming service.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of cook experience or formal culinary training, and a High School Diploma or GED is preferred. This is a part-time role with weekend and holiday shifts, plus employee dining and parking perks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a Cook preferred
• Formal Culinary training preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of food products and culinary techniques.
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment.
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service.
• Label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintain solid menu knowledge and plate presentation.
• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service.
• Prepare base sauces, stocks and soups.
• Work as a team to meet guests' needs and inquiries.
