Job summary

Plentiful Kitchen LLC in Oakland, CA is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our small, collaborative kitchen team on Sundays and Mondays from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. You will prep ingredients, make sauces, and help plate and package meals, upholding our allergen-friendly standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of professional kitchen experience, strong knife skills, and a reliable, collaborative mindset. Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional kitchen experience.
• Experience with whole, clean ingredients and allergen-friendly recipes.
• Solid knife skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual for every shift.
• ServSafe or California Food Handler certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prep vegetables, proteins, and grains for weekly production.
• Make sauces, dressings, and baked goods from our recipes.
• Portion, package, and label meals accurately.
• Store food properly and follow temperature guidelines.
• Keep station clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Follow food safety and allergen protocols, including gluten and dairy cross-contact prevention.
• Work steadily to meet production goals and timelines.
• Assist team with other kitchen tasks as needed.
