Job summary

ShareHouse, Inc. is seeking a part-time cook to prepare and serve meals for clients, staff, and guests. The role requires compliance with sanitation, health, and safety standards and follows established food production programs.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of commercial kitchen or food service experience and the ability to work 15-20 hours weekly with rotating weekends and holidays. The position reports to the Kitchen department.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of commercial kitchen or food service experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in preparation of meals using established procedures.
• Assist in planning menus and purchasing inventory and supplies.
• Maintain standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules for efficiency and consistency.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow sanitation standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Assist in managing inventory and reporting levels.
• Report equipment repairs to supervisor.
• Open/close kitchen per shift requirements.
• Maintain reliable attendance as schedule dictates.
• Follow instructions and work collaboratively with the team.
