Job summary

Pasilobus is seeking a Part-Time Content Creator to shape the voice of our growing Shopify-focused startup. This flexible, remote role is ideal for students or early-career writers who want to build a portfolio by crafting blog posts, website copy, and social media content.

You’ll rewrite and create content, optimize for readability and SEO, and collaborate with Shopify store owners. Experience with Shopify is a plus; we value clarity, curiosity, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills for clear, engaging content.
• Experience creating blog posts, social media content, or other online copy.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and how to write with keywords in mind.
• Familiarity with content tools (Google Docs, CMS, Notion, etc.).
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

• Refresh and improve existing content: app descriptions, service pages, blog posts, help docs, and more.

You're a student, freelancer, or aspiring content marketer looking to sharpen your skills in a hands-on, startup environment. You've got a strong voice, a good eye for detail, and a knack for turning technical ideas into clear, engaging content.

You're just as comfortable rewriting a clunky paragraph as you are brainstorming a catchy Instagram post or researching a blog topic.

What You'll Be Doing

• This is a very part-time role, averaging 1-2 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
• Flexible schedule - work when you're most creative, as long as deadlines are met.
• Occasional team check-ins or Slack messages during Pacific Time business hours.
• Great for students, creatives, or side-hustlers who want to grow into a bigger content role down the line.
• Opportunities for advancement: Show initiative and quality, and you'll be first in line for more hours and larger responsibilities.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills - you care about clarity, tone, and grammar.
• Experience creating blog posts, social media content, or other online copy.
• Familiarity with content tools (Google Docs, CMS, Notion, etc.).

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Located near Seattle, WA is a bonus for future in-person creative sessions.
• Experience with Shopify - ideally, you've used Shopify firsthand either to manage a store, write content for one, or support someone who does.
• Prior writing experience for e-commerce brands, especially in a marketing or support context.
• Basic knowledge of SEO best practices and how to write with keywords in mind.
• Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Figma, or Adobe tools) are a bonus, especially for creating visuals to accompany your content.
