Job summary

EDWARDS AND SON CONSTRUCTION LLC is seeking a part-time entry level Assistant Construction Laborer to support contractors and skilled trades workers on site. You will assist with field tasks, prep work areas, transport materials, and help with supply orders under supervision.

You also handle administrative duties like answering calls and organizing project files, while interacting with customers and suppliers on the job. Travel may be required for out-of-state projects.

Qualifications

• Physical strength to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in all weather.
• Reliability: punctual, dependable, and able to follow instructions.
• License: valid driver’s license and reliable transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports job sites by prepping work areas while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Responsible for materials transport, assisting with supply orders, and handling basic tools under supervision.
• Responsible for maintaining company vehicles.
• Travel with the crew on an out-of-state project.
• Answer phone calls, reply to emails.
• Organize paper and digital project files and assist with new project leads.
• Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals.
