Job summary

Lansing Community College’s Technical Careers Division is seeking an Adjunct Instructor in Construction Management to teach courses including estimating, scheduling, project management, and contract law. Flex schedules and hybrid options may apply; on-campus presence is expected.

Minimum qualifications include a degree with experience in residential/light commercial construction, with emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and two years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field; OR Associate's Degree in a related field and four years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field; OR High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of eight years relevant experience residential/light commercial construction field
• IMPORTANT: If an educational degree is required for this position, unofficial copies of transcripts from each institution of higher learning where either a degree has been conferred or coursework completed are required documents that must be submitted as part of the online application process
• Applicants with foreign education credentials (i.e. earned degree and related to this position) must contact a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) credential evaluation services and request an academic transcript evaluation. Responsibilities

• Teach courses that include such content as estimating, scheduling, construction project management, and construction contract law
• Adjust instructional techniques to individual student learning styles while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment
• Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment and schedules may be hybrid or on campus as approved by the College
