Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Construction Management to teach courses in estimating, scheduling, project management, and contract law. The role may include instruction in materials, methods, MEP systems, BIM, sustainable construction, energy management, and commissioning.

A strong commitment to safety and quality is required, with daytime/evening, on-campus teaching expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction.
Associate's Degree with 4+ years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction.
High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction.
Unofficial transcripts must be submitted with the online application if a degree is required.
Foreign credentials must be evaluated by a NACES member credential service and submitted with materials.

Responsibilities

Teach courses covering estimating, scheduling, and construction project management.
Possibly teach construction materials/methods, MEP systems, BIM, sustainable construction, energy management, and commissioning.
Adjust instructional techniques to student learning styles and maintain a safe learning environment.
Teaching assignments may include day and evening, face-to-face instruction.
