Job summary

City of Midwest City is seeking a Part Time Computer Technician in the IT Department. The role involves hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and supporting city employees through the IT work request system.

You will help with project tasks, maintain documentation, and coordinate with vendors as needed. Responsibilities include inventory management, IT equipment setups, and basic network/camera system support.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with A+ certification or equivalent experience required.
• Valid Oklahoma driver license and insurability.
• Basic software skills: 10-Key, data entry, PowerPoint, spreadsheets and typing.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for computer hardware and software installation and maintenance.
• Process IT work requests and assist project teams as needed.
• Coordinate installations and upgrades with other departments.
• Assist with hardware/software troubleshooting and procurement support.
• Maintain inventory and document hardware installation and repair processes.
• Operate CCTV systems and city network infrastructure as required.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Technical associate's or bachelor's in MIS/CS (preferred)
