Job summary

Western Nevada College is seeking a part-time, temporary/seasonal position to support the college’s testing lab operations. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool.

As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool. Duties include answering voice mails, emails, and calls; coordinating test proctoring; handling confidential materials; maintaining lab schedules; administering college and national testing; and promoting college programs to the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college or an Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience with computer hardware and software is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with college faculty, staff and students.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to explain instructions clearly to others and communicate with faculty, staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Answer voice mails, emails, and phone calls.
• Contact students and faculty via email and phone to set up appointments and test proctoring.
• Prepare and handle sensitive information and testing materials confidentially.
• Maintain check-in procedures.
• Administer college and national testing when testing occurs.
• Monitor lab equipment and supplies.
• Follow computer lab policies and procedures.
• Promote college programs and services to communities served by WNC.
• Maintain lab schedules and keep the lab clean.
