Job summary

You will run practices, coach strokes, recruit volunteers, and coordinate meet registrations while maintaining attendance records and communicating with staff and families. Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18; must be at least 5 years older than the oldest participant.
• Minimum 2 years of competitive swim experience preferred.
• Proficiency as a Swim Instructor per YMCA standards and procedures.
• Must obtain before first scheduled meet: YMCA Principles of Competitive Swimming and Diving, American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches, YMCA Lifeguard or Skills Checklist.
• Must obtain before first scheduled shift: BLS (includes AED), First Aid and Emergency Oxygen. Compliance Training: Child Abuse Prevention Training, Information Security and Awareness, Workplace Harassment and Bullying, Universal Precautions, New Staff Orientation Assessment.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups.
